Event Details

Join us for a gentle coastal walk with stunning views over the Bristol Channel!

The walk takes us through the Victoriana of Penarth Town Centre and then along a disused railway to Cosmeston where we’ll visit the lakes there. We then head past the ‘Marconi Village’ to Lavernock Point and weather permitting will head to the beach and fossil hunt our way back to the start point 🙂

This walk is 8 miles or so and as we have a maximum of 4 hours we’ll be averaging 2 miles an hour. This is a gentle walk therefore but the terrain, if we follow the beach back from Lavernock, is hard going, rocky and slippery.
