THE WALK
Join Andy in his winter home for a few days of walking on this highly memorable island. This is a sea to summit challenge – a walk from the airport to the top of mighty El Teide…

This is a budget walking holiday in Tenerife. Guiding and accommodation is provided. You will a small backpack with walking kit, that’s it, so no luggage allowance needed. We’ll purchase food along the way. Andy will walk with you the whole way.

Flights and lunch and evening meals are not included.

ITINERARY
Monday – Fly Bristol to Tenerife South – A night in El Medano for a few beers and watching the sun boil away into the ocean.
Tuesday – Dip toes into the ocean and walk to Vilaflor. Hotel accommodation in the centre of the town.
Wednesday – Walk to El Teide’s caldera and to the historic Parador Hotel for a swim, sauna and fine night sleeps in this dramatic location.
Thursday – Walk to El Teide’s summit at 3700m for sunset before descending to the Refugio for the night.
Friday – Back to the Parador Hotel for a cuppa and we will be picked up by taxi and taken to the ocean for an afternoon on a stunning beach for a swim and rest up before flying back to the UK.

THE LEADER
This walk will be led by Andy Lamb who has been a Brecon Beacons National Park Part Time Warden and BBNP Volunteer and Guided Walks Co-ordinator, Chair of Brecon Beacons Tourism, a D of E and The Princes Trust Co-ordinator in Powys, in RCT and in Merthyr Tydfil and is currently the owner of Wales Outdoors. Andy is a Mountain Leader with nearly 30 years of guiding in Wales and further afield experience. You’ll have an informative, fun and memorable trip 🙂

The key objectives of the group are to get people outdoors and walking and socialising with others who enjoy the same. We encourage the development of interest in the hills and mountains of Wales and we encourage our members to build their skills and to get out on their own or to look to us for guided adventures in the UK and abroad.

THE SMALL PRINT
Public liability insurance to 10 Million per occurrence is provided for these events. This is with ‘Protectivity’ and the policy number is 444900072858 – 9/11/19 to 8/11/20. All participate at their own risk and as adults or parents decide whether the chosen event is for them. The level of participation in any event is always a personal choice. We recommend that you take out a personal activity insurance plan to protect any loss of income following an accident. OUR HOLIDAY REFUND POLICY
More than 30 days notice – 100% refunded
16-29 days notice – 50% refunded
10-15 days notice – 25% refunded
Less than 10 days notice – 0% refunded – This is because it is unlikely, given that amount of notice, that we’ll be able to fill the spot/s.
