This walk starts outside the atmospheric ruins of Tintern Abbey on the Welsh borders of the River Wye. It is a moderate circular route on well-trodden paths. Once we cross over the river into the English borders we will follow old disused railway paths, ascent into green woodland and open countryside.
The ancient Offers Dyke trail will guide us to stunning views of the Abbey and the Wye Valley from the Devil’s Pulpit. A limestone rock jutting out from the cliffs from where legend has it the devil preached to the monks below tempting them to desert their order. Great pic opportunity!!
