Tackling life’s adventures with eagerness and optimism, I’m driven to help people thrive in the outdoors and achieve their personal ambitions, even in challenging conditions. Whether that’s young people tackling a gorge, supporters of a charity aiming for a summit or individuals pursuing a lifetime goal – I want to be a reinforcing member of their network.
Through self-exploration, experiential education and teamwork, I have experienced personally and observed in others, the importance of the outdoors for good physical and mental health. I have come to believe that an effective leader, whether in the mountains or in an office, needn’t shout the loudest but rather, they should be approachable, encouraging, an effective communicator and emotionally intelligent – this is the kind of leader I always aspire to be in every situation.
My wife and I walked the entire 2189 miles in 5 months with over 100 nights of wild camping. Summitting 53 peaks over 1000m, and 3 peaks over 2000m. We did this with minimal lightweight equipment and a base weight of 6kgs.
