An 8 mile mountain walk and taking in three crashed plane sites.

This walk takes in 3 WW2 crash sites in the northern Carmarthen Fans and the highest peak, Fan Brycheiniog. This walk is 8 miles but regarded as strenuous.
At times this walk goes over rough, pathless country so walking boots/shoes are strongly recommended and after rain it will be wet underfoot in places. If you want to get away from the crowds and explore some wild country then this walk is for you.
The walk will be led by David Thomas who has been a Mountain leader for over 30 years. It starts from the parking to access Lyn y Fan Fawr at 853217. Coming from the south on the A4067 turn left 50m after the Tafarn y Garreg pub (from the north 50m before) and it’s about 3 miles to the parking.
