Go have a fine few days mountaineering with Andy, the Wales Outdoors owner, and tick of the UK’s finest mountains too!
Duration
4 Days – 3 Nights
About
Leaving from Cardiff on Monday morning we will drive to Fort William, collecting clients as we go M4, M5, M6. We will walk Ben Nevis on Tuesday, Scafell Pike on Wednesday and Snowdon on Thursday, returning home at a decent time Thursday evening.
This trip is a small group tour, going in one car to reduce costs, and is inclusive of guiding, transport and accommodation but not food. Companies offering this service charge a minimum of £699pp and you usually make your own way to the start and from the finish points but here we are charging £425 for a round trip!
Further, we deliver this not over a weekend but in the week so as to not pressure the mountains and so be respectful to the landscape and other users. This is also reflected in our small group ethos. No 20 clients to one leader on Wales Outdoors watch! This benefits us though as we experience true solitude in the mountains as opposed to the paths feeling like a tired production line…
Accommodation is also upgraded in regards to our competition. We are in shared accommodation with male and female clients sharing the same space. This is what we are offering for the zzz’s:
Glen Nevis YHA – Quadruple Room with a private bathroom. This YHA is stunning and is situated at the very start of the walk to the summit of the highest mountain in the UK.
Irton Hall – Two bedroom self contained suite – we’re poshing it up in a mansion 🙂
Canolfan y Fron – A community run rural accommodation for which we have a self contained flat with all mod cons and decorated to an exceptionally high standard.
More info All bedding is provided so you simply need walking clothing and a wash-kit and a daypack.
Distances Let’s say about 8 miles a day with a good deal of up and the same amount of down 🙂
