THE MONDAY MOAN – A once a week spot for us to moan about the stuff that perhaps we should all be moaning about that little bit more…

It’s likely that Go Outdoors will be no more… It’s gone for administration. The well liked discount (on occasion) outdoor gear store has fallen to covid. This is exceptionally worrying. And Wales Outdoors loose our partnership and the extra 10% discount for Wales Outdoors members…

‘Cath KidstonLaura Ashley and the UK arm of Victoria’s Secret have all called in administrators. Last week, Poundstretcher announced that it has launched a company voluntary arrangement, an insolvency process that allows companies to continue trading while pushing through store closures and rent cuts.’

What will be left of the high street, the entertainment industry and the tourism sector when the crisis is done and dusted.

And the moan here is I thought ‘no one will be left behind’ and ‘we are in it all together’. Tell that to the Go Outdoors staff… What is all of the government expense doing if it is not protecting well known business names and so hundreds of thousands of livelihoods.
