David had planned this walk to take place during Storm Dennis but fearing the high winds postponed to the following weekend.

What had been a sell out walk was now reduced to a handful of participants and these battled the near 50 mile an hour winds along the ridges to gain both the summit of Pen y Fan and the Spitfire fighter plane crash site.

David has a couple more of these planned in for later on in the year and has also added some other walks to his portfolio including a fine looking exploration of South Gower.

Despite the weather the views on this day were spectacular and made the more memorable by the effort required by the walkers to gain the ridges and summit. Well done all 🙂
