Sgwd Einon Gam is a beautiful waterfall located in the Brecon Beacons National Park Bannau Brycheiniog in Wales. It’s part of a series of stunning waterfalls along the Afon Pyrddin river. This particular waterfall is known for its scenic beauty and the way it cascades dramatically over the rocks, creating a natural pool below. It’s a popular spot for visitors to hike to and admire the surroundings, especially as part of the famous Four Waterfalls Walk.
It's the one very few get to see... We deliver day hikes to this waterfall as private bookings only.
About
It's all about the one that we never get to - the waterfall that needs skill and grit as we battle through undergrowth and cross and re cross the river. We'll take in four of Andy's amazing waterfalls on this walk and as a finale we'll make our way to the fifth, a hidden gem and perhaps the ultimate of the bunch. You decide! This walk is best done in walking boots with wetsuit socks or waterproof socks or even wellies as we will be crossing through the river itself. You will likely get wet feet! Some climbing over fallen trees is also a thing.
Due to the nature of this walk we only deliver this walk as a private tour. We cannot always guarantee that we'll get to the hidden fall, Sgwd Einon Gam. If the rivers are running high we will have to turn back and leave the fall to it's solitary self. But no matter, we'll still have a mighty fine day :)
There is much else to explore along the way, a mine, old mine workings and waterfalls galore. We take the day at a relaxed and slow for some pace in order to absorb the ambience. Call it 'forest bathing' if you will :)
