Welcome to Wales Outdoors!

The small print page provides information relative to all of our events. We’ve kept it to a minimum, to be clear about timings, leaders, money etc and it is your responsibility to ensure you are happy with the information and simple conditions. The text in bold are the key pieces of info that you should be aware of.

YOUR BOOKING

Our leaders are sessional professionals and deliver their own walks in their own style. Some will appeal to you more than others, after all, we are all individuals and are made up of very different personalities. Any issues arising should in the first instance be addressed to the leader. If there is no suitable resolution do come to us at info@walesoutdoors.co.uk , and we will straighten things out.

We are not a large business and we like to keep things simple. We believe that we are all adults here and so common sense and a desire for fairness is the best approach as opposed to reams of tiny type solicitor drafted terms and conditions. This has, to date, served us well and we hope you appreciate this pleasant human approach 🙂

IMPORTANT

HIKES

• Dogs are very welcome if you are meeting us at the start point

• Walking boots please

• Warm layers and waterproofs are essential

• You’ll need a good packed lunch

• Guides sometimes take their dog so if this is an issue for you, please advise, and we'll sort something out

TOURS

• There are plenty of stops and opportunities for toilet breaks, for snacks and lunch

• All tours are inclusive of any admission costs to castles and attractions

HIKES AND TOURS

• It may be that part or all of an event needs to be changed due to conditions beyond our control such as weather or changes to access that we could not foresee. In these instances, we go with our best alternative and continue on with the day

• We will be leaving promptly so please arrange to be at the meeting point by the stated time. If running late then do message us, and if we have servic,e we’ll pick up and may be able to arrange to wait for/meet you. Without late arrival notification, we will leave at ten minutes past the start time, and later arrivals will forfeit the day.

• We don’t cancel due to weather unless it is unsafe to drive

INSURANCE

Guides have public liability insurance. All participants participate at their own risk and as adults or parents, decide whether the chosen event is for them. The level of participation, in any event, is always a personal choice. We recommend that you take out a personal activity insurance plan to protect from any loss of income following the rare event of an accident whilst out walking or on a tour. OUR DAY TOUR REFUND POLICY

Wales Outdoors has a standard 'zero refund policy' for any cancellation of day hikes or tours booked with Wales Outdoors. Wales Outdoors does offer an 'extra' at checkout, Trip Protection, which is an additional fee, per ticket, and when this is purchased, we will offer you the ability to cancel your booking with the following conditions:

• Up to 30 days before your event - Full Refund

• Up to 14 days before your event - 75% Refund

• Up to 7 days before your event - 50% Refund

• Up to 24 hours before your event - 25% Refund

• 24 hours or less - No Refund

Similarly, no-shows on the day of the event are not eligible for a refund.

We kindly ask all participants to arrive at the start point at least 10 minutes before the listed start time to ensure a prompt departure and avoid missing the hike.

If Wales Outdoors cancel an event, you will receive as much notice as possible and a full refund. Wales Outdoors accepts no liability for associated travel costs incurred by clients if, in the rare instance, Wales Outdoors cancels a hike or tour.

Refunds are processed via the original payment method within 10 days.

OUR MULTI-DAY TOUR REFUND POLICY

Wales Outdoors has a standard 'zero refund policy' for any cancellation of tours booked with Wales Outdoors. Wales Outdoors does offer an 'extra' at checkout, Trip Protection, which is an additional fee, per ticket, and when this is purchased, we will offer you the ability to cancel your booking with the following conditions:

• Up to 60 days before your event – 100% Refund.

• Up to 30 days before your event – 50% Refund.

• Less than 30 days notice – 25% Refund

• If we have incurred fees in the transaction, these fees will be deducted from any refunded amount.

We Cancel: In the exceptional situation where we cancel an event, you get a 100% refund of the money paid. Wales Outdoors will not be liable for any associated costs that you have incurred.

We, therefore, recommend that you have some holiday insurance in place to cover cancellations or rescheduling that is beyond your control. Your bank is a good place to start for holiday insurance.

GENERAL TERMS

While every effort is made to deliver the itinerary as described, Wales Outdoors may alter routes, transport types, or schedules when necessary. If a tour is cancelled, liability is limited to a full refund of all monies paid.

Wales Outdoors carries mandatory UK insurance for third-party liability and accidents. Customers are advised to obtain personal travel insurance.

Tours may be altered or cancelled due to adverse weather. Alternative dates or refunds (as per the cancellation policy) will be offered. Delays due to traffic or road conditions are beyond our control and do not warrant compensation.

In the event of vehicle breakdowns, Wales Outdoors will arrange return transport to the original departure point but will not be liable for further compensation.

The company may refuse service to anyone engaging in disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour. No compensation will be given in such cases.

Wales Outdoors is not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to war, civil unrest, natural disasters, strikes, terrorism, or other unforeseen circumstances.

GENERAL GROUP INFO

We offer a range of walks of different lengths and difficulties so hope to cover most levels of ability/fitness. The key objectives of Wales Outdoors is to get people outdoors and walking and socialising with others who enjoy the same. We encourage the development of interest in the hills and mountains of Wales and we encourage all to build their skills and to get out on their own or to look to us for guided adventures in the UK and abroad. Our tours are aimed at the visitor to Wales and are small group guided days visiting countryside locations and historic monuments. Guides are Green Badge qualified and are knowledgeable about the history, politics and the economy of Wales and some may have special interests such as nature and geology too
