Acknowledgement of Risk & Voluntary Participation

• I understand that participation in the activities organised by Wales Outdoors (including but not limited to hikes, walking tours, transport, visits to historic & natural sites) involves inherent risks. These may include — but are not limited to — uneven or slippery ground, steep or narrow paths or steps, unpredictable weather, travel by vehicle on public roads, and other natural or environmental hazards.

• I acknowledge that while Wales Outdoors will take reasonable care to ensure safety, such risks cannot be entirely eliminated. I accept these risks voluntarily, on my own behalf (and on behalf of any minors for whom I sign).

Fitness, Medical Information & Disclosure

• I confirm that I am physically fit and able to take part in the activity.

• I have disclosed (or will disclose) any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, mobility limitations or other factors which might affect my (or a minor’s) safe participation.

• I understand that failure to disclose relevant medical or health information may increase my (or a minor’s) risk, and Wales Outdoors cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting from nondisclosure.

Behaviour, Safety & Personal Responsibility

• I agree to follow all instructions, guidance, and safety advice provided by Wales Outdoors staff, guides, or drivers.

• I understand I am responsible for my own behaviour, and that reckless or irresponsible behaviour may result in my removal from the tour/activity without refund.

• I am responsible for my personal property and belongings; Wales Outdoors is not liable for loss or damage of personal items, unless loss/damage arises from proven negligence by Wales Outdoors.

Transportation (if applicable)

• I acknowledge that if transport is provided (in company or contracted vehicles), there are risks associated with road travel (e.g. collisions, sudden braking, weather, other road users).

• I agree to wear a seatbelt (or other required safety equipment) at all times when in a vehicle, and to comply with the driver or guide’s instructions for safety.

• I accept these transport-related risks and travel at my own discretion.

Release & Liability Waiver

• In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Wales Outdoors, its employees, guides, drivers, contractors, agents, representatives, affiliated companies, and insurers from any and all liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or death that I (or my child/ward) may suffer as a result of participation — except in cases of proven gross negligence on the part of Wales Outdoors or its staff.

• I understand that this waiver includes risks posed by physical activity, travel, natural or man-made hazards, weather, site conditions, and presence in historic or natural locations.

• I accept that participation is at my own risk.

• I understand this waiver does not affect my statutory rights under English/Welsh law.

Data Protection & Privacy

• I consent to Wales Outdoors collecting and storing my personal data (and any disclosed medical data) for the purpose of managing bookings, ensuring safety, and contact in case of emergency.

• I understand that my data will be stored securely, used only for legitimate business purposes, and not shared except with authorised staff, emergency services, insurers, or as required by law.
