The Gower Tour - Mumbles, Three Cliffs And Worms Head
It's a round day tour from Cardiff, Swansea or Mumbles to the glorious Gower peninsula beaches, cliffs and cafés.
Small group tour to the famous Gower Peninsular, your guide is a qualified Green Badge Tourist Guide for South West Wales.
Gower Tours Itinerary
It's a small group guided tour from central Cardiff or Swansea, taking in the very best beaches of Wales and historical sites on the Gower Peninsula, the first place to be designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in the UK.
First is a brief stop in Mumbles, pretty seaside town located just outside of Swansea, take a stroll along the promenade and enjoy the view of Swansea Bay, or take the time to explore some of the independent shops in Mumbles.
Next is Three Cliffs Bay, home of adventure activities by the sea. We may see some climbers, or some might even be coasteering. We will take a, mostly flat, walk to the beach through a lovely valley with glorious views of Pennard Castle and after we across the stepping stones, you'll be rewarded with sublime views! We'll then visit Gower Heritage Centre, take some time to explore the 12th-century watermill and associated buildings that house a huge range of historical displays telling the story of life on The Gower. There is also a small cafe/shop selling produce made locally and at the mill.
Finally we travel to Rhossili and Worms Head which are a must with any trip to the Gower, having to pull into this iconic spot. Rhosilli Bay, with its 3 miles of golden sand, is often featured as the best beach of Wales and the UK. You can choose to take a walk out for a closer look at Worms Head or head down to the beach for a swim in the sea. There are plenty of cafes and even a pub to pop into too if you choose. We head back over Llanrhidian Common which is farming Gower, usually with sheep, cows and wild horses providing the entertainment... If there is time we may stop for a 360-degree panoramic view of Gower and perhaps a walk to an ancient burial site known as King Arthur's Stone. Enjoy the final sweeping views over the Loughor Esturary looking towards Llanelli as we begin our travels back to the start point.

Know Before You Go:
This tour will take place rain or shine, bring waterproof clothing or a sun hat and water depending on the day.
Bring your towel! Bring your swimming costume. You never know how the day will play out :)
There is a walk of approx. 3km in total on our visit to Three Cliffs Bay, the path is generally good but not paved, so there will be broken ground and will involve walking over stones and sand for a short time.
Britain is generally known as a nation of dog lovers, you might meet owners walking on and off lead dogs in the countryside.
There are often free ranging animals like sheep, cows and horses on Gower, they are very used to seeing people but please take care and do not approach them, for your safety and theirs.
We don't recommend this tour for people who have mobility issues or who have recently had foot, leg, knee, hip or back injuries.
You will be able to spend time with the guide at each location on this day tour from Swansea and Cardiff. You are free to self-explore and perhaps dip your toe into the sea, buy some souvenirs or get that perfect selfie.
